Geographic location

Tra Vinh is a coastal province in the Mekong Delta region, the East is adjacent to the East Sea, the West is adjacent to Vinh Long province, the South is adjacent to Soc Trang province, and the North is adjacent to Ben Tre province, it is located between the lower Tien and Hau rivers, with 65 km of coastline, facing the sea through 02 main gates, Cung Hau and Dinh An. Tra Vinh canal is an important maritime route of the Mekong Delta towards the East Sea, which is convenient for domestic and international trade. Tra Vinh has a natural area of 2,391 km², including 01 city, 01 town and 07 districts with 106 communes, wards and townships; it is about 130 km from Ho Chi Minh City and about 90 km from Can Tho city.
